The clients envisioned a transformation of their Bucktown condominium, seeking to imbue the space with a more classically refined aesthetic. Our approach began with the removal of existing wall coverings, followed by the application of a fresh, creamy palette to enhance the natural light and create a sense of airy spaciousness. In the living room, we capitalized on the dramatic scale of the existing twenty-foot windows by installing custom sheer draperies, hung from ceiling-mounted rods to accentuate the verticality and evoke a sense of elegant grandeur. A bespoke, 36-inch round pendant crafted from rice paper provides a soft, diffused illumination, anchoring the room's central axis. Underfoot, a custom-designed wool rug, finished with a refined leather binding, grounds the space and introduces a layer of tactile luxury. Exquisite custom pillows, upholstered in a Parisian jacquard, add subtle texture and visual interest. The room is further defined by a custom Viola marble coffee table, its sculptural form serving as a focal point. Finally, strategically placed leather ottomans offer versatile seating solutions, easily adaptable for accommodating additional guests.
